Giveaway Shape

When I posted my "shockwave" shape on Twitter (no longer Twitter), it received some attention.

With that attention, I chose to host a giveaway of a new custom shape for someone.

After a winner was selected, I collaborated with her to create a design that was exciting for both of us.

This schlegel diagram of the truncated dodecahedron (rendered with Polyblade) was used to map the three-coloring of the dodecahedron onto this less intuitive shape.

With the blueprint in hand, it was just a matter of time and folding.

This shape now lives in a rural part of Ireland where I've been assured it's getting on well.
